Sermon Series for December: Advent! Unto Us a Childe is Born!

This Advent season, we invite you to journey with us as we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ through the powerful themes of Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. Each week we will reflect on the promise of hope that sustains us in uncertain times, the peace of Christ that calms our fears and reconciles our hearts, the joy that comes from knowing Emmanuel—God with us—and the boundless love of God revealed in the birth of Jesus. Together, these messages will guide us to the manger, where we encounter the true meaning of Christmas and celebrate the Savior who brings light to the world.

“Lego or Let Go” 12.28.2025-Just like a pile of mismatched Lego bricks, our lives can feel scattered, uneven, and full of pieces that don’t seem to fit. But God isn’t looking for perfection—He’s looking for willingness. When we let go of the belief that our flaws disqualify us, God can build something extraordinary through us. Scripture is full of imperfect people—Moses with his doubts, David with his failures, Peter with his impulsiveness—yet God used each one to accomplish His purposes. In God’s hands, even the broken pieces become part of a masterpiece, reminding us that He can use anyone willing to be shaped by His grace.

“Unto Us…A Child Is Born” 12.24.2025-The fifth candle of Advent—the Christ Candle—shines at the center of the wreath, reminding us that unto us a Child is born and the Light of the world has stepped into our darkness. On this holy night, we remember that Jesus is not just a symbol of light but the source of it, breaking through every shadow with hope, truth, and grace. As we lift our candles and watch the room fill with a growing glow, we see a picture of what Christ does in every willing heart: He illuminates, He restores, and He leads us into life. The birth of Jesus is God’s declaration that no darkness is too deep for His light to overcome.

“Unto Us…Love” 12.21.2025-The fourth candle of Advent, often called the Candle of Love, invites us to pause and remember the depth of God’s love revealed in the coming of Christ. Many traditions describe it as the angel’s candle, symbolizing the message of divine love announced to the world. As the final candle on the wreath is lit, it completes the circle of hope, peace, joy, and love, reminding us that the heart of the Christmas story is God’s choice to draw near to humanity in compassion and grace. This candle encourages us not only to receive that love but to embody it—through forgiveness, generosity, and kindness in our everyday lives.

“Unto Us…Joy” 12.14.2025-On this third Sunday of Advent, Christmas is the story of heaven’s peace breaking into earth’s chaos. When the angels declared, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men” (Luke 2:14), they announced that true peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of Christ. The peace of Christmas is the calm assurance that Emmanuel—God with us—has come to still our fears, heal our hearts, and reconcile us to God.

“Unto Us…Peace” 12.07.2025-On this second Sunday of Advent, This joy is deeper than fleeting happiness; it is the assurance that Emmanuel—God with us—has come to dwell among His people. As we reflect on the manger, the shepherds, and the angelic chorus, let us open our hearts to the true meaning of Christmas: the joy of salvation, the peace of God’s presence, and the call to share His love with the world.

“Unto Us…Hope” 11.30.2025-On this first Sunday of Advent, we remember the hope promised through Isaiah. “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14). And in Isaiah 9:1–6, we see light breaking into darkness as a child is born who will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. These words remind us that true hope is found not in circumstances, but in Christ—the One who fulfills God’s promises and brings light to the world.

“JESUS OUR MODEL OF GRATEFULNESS” 11.23.2025-Jesus shows us gratefulness in every moment. When He fed the five thousand, He gave thanks before multiplying the loaves and fish. At the Last Supper, He gave thanks even as He faced the cross. And at Lazarus’s tomb, He thanked the Father before calling his friend back to life. In each scene, Jesus teaches us that gratitude is not just a response to blessings—it is a posture of faith that trusts God in all circumstances.

“THANK GOD FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE “- 11.16.2025 In Luke 17:11–19, ten lepers cry out to Jesus for mercy, and all are healed. Yet only one returns to give thanks, falling at His feet in gratitude. This passage reminds us that God’s blessings are not to be taken lightly. Gratitude is more than polite words—it is an act of worship that acknowledges His power, mercy, and love. Just as the healed Samaritan was made whole through thanksgiving, we too are called to pause, reflect, and thank God for what He has done in our lives. True faith is expressed not only in asking but in returning to give thanks.

“THANK GOD FOR WHO HE IS” 11.09.2025-(Psalm 36:1–4) invites us, as we enter the season of giving thanks, to reflect not just on what God has done, but on who He is. In contrast to the brokenness described in these verses, we thank God for being good, for being our refuge, and for being present in our lives—faithful, just, and unchanging. This message will help you demonstrate true gratitude to God by deepening your appreciation of His character and constant presence.

STAY FOCUSED IN TIMES OF STRESS – November 2nd – As the holiday season approaches—a time often filled with joy, but also unexpected stress—this sermon invites you to discover a deeper peace that transcends circumstances. In a world that demands constant performance and perfection, God offers rest, renewal, and resilience. You’ll learn how to rely on God’s strength instead of your own, cultivate inner peace even when life feels chaotic, and set healthy boundaries to guard your heart and mind. This message will encourage you to shift your focus from pressure to presence—from striving to surrender. Whether you’re overwhelmed by expectations, family dynamics, or personal challenges, you’ll leave with practical tools and spiritual truths to stay positive and anchored in God’s promises. Come ready to breathe, believe, and be renewed.

Sermon Series “We Are the Church”

BEING THE CHURCH – October 26th – In this heartfelt sermon, the church is depicted as the living family of God rather than just a building. Within its walls, we experience the transformative love of our Heavenly Father and the warmth of genuine community. As we worship, learn, and serve together, our faith deepens, helping us grow into the people God intends us to be. The church is a sacred space where love is expressed and faith is nurtured.

AN INVITING CHURCH – October 19th- reflects the vibrant life described in Acts 2:42-47, where believers devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer. This community was marked by generosity, unity, and joy, drawing others in through their authentic love and shared purpose. Their daily lives radiated hospitality and spiritual depth, making the church not just a place to gather, but a way to live. As God added to their numbers, it was clear that an inviting life—rooted in faith and fellowship—was irresistible to a watching world.

SERVING TOGETHER – October 12th – When the church unites in service—sharing passion, helping those in need, and engaging in ministries—it reflects Christ’s love. This commitment builds deeper relationships, strengthens faith, and inspires others. As members contribute their gifts, the church thrives in both numbers and spiritual depth, becoming a powerful force for transformation in the community.

OUR MISSION – October 5th – One of the most powerful calls Jesus extended to His disciples was to “be His witnesses.” This message resonates deeply, extending far beyond the pages of the New Testament—it speaks directly to us today. The mission of the church is unwavering and timeless, inviting us all to unite in this noble purpose.
